Swedish Massage

A variety of techniques designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them.  The main purpose is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscle.  Other possible benefits include stimulation of circulation, an increase in muscle tone, and a balance of the musculoskeletal systems.

Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissue of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes.

Kinesio Taping

This is the application of Tapes, working along the longitudinal element of the muscle.  The tape is said to lift the epidermis as it recoils after being applied with tension, therefore increasing space between the skin and the underlying connective tissues to aid lymphatic and venous movement.  It also assists with reducing pain and increasing muscle performance.

The application of taping after deep tissue massage can greatly aid most forms of muscle problems.

The popularity of Kinesio taping has sky-rocketed recently due to the high-profile presence at the London 2012 Olympic games.

Oscillation and Ultrasound Therapy

Vibration oscillation therapy works deep into the muscle tissue, rapidly increasing circulation by dilating blood vessels.  A specific speed of oscillation has been clinically proven to aid muscle spasm, repair damaged muscle tissue, recovery from severe exercise.

Therapeutic ultrasound is a continuous or pulsed wave of energy, producing a reduction in pain, local swelling, chronic inflammation and aiding the breakdown of scar tissue.

This is a fast effective way of massage therapy that can be performed in virtually any work environment.

Concentrating on the back, neck and shoulders, techniques have been developed so that the customer can keep their clothing on, and no oils are applied.  Sessions last no longer than 20 - 30 minutes.
